| Speedboat, mud bath, lunch | misprint | VND 855,000, list VND 940,000 |
The VinWonders page prints the mud bath and lunch row as 855.000.000 VND, an obvious misprint. Vinpearl lists the same combo at VND 855,000. The VinWonders page gives adult prices and no child price.
Its booking form sets adult tickets at height from 140 cm. It shows child bands of 100 cm to 140 cm and 80 cm to 140 cm without saying which applies to which package. Seniors aged 60 or older have their own ticket type.
Vinpearl notes that prices change with time and promotions. It lists a 3% discount for booking 7 days ahead on the VinWonders web or app. Its guide gives an overall range of about 350,000 to 1,040,000 VND per person, depending on the package.
What a package includes
The speedboat is in every package on the VinWonders page. Vinpearl’s standard combo adds the mud bath and beach use: beach, sea bathing, chairs and parasols. Its lunch combo adds lunch at the Hon Viet restaurant, in a 11:00 to 12:30 or 12:45 to 14:00 slot.
Vinpearl also lists an all-island combo at VND 1,040,000, with lunch at the Ocean View restaurant and entry to beach areas A and B. A basic Area A mud bath ticket with the boat is listed at VND 640,000.
Hours
The VinWonders page header gives operating hours of 08:00 to 16:30. Its package rows say 08:00 to 16:40 daily. The Google Maps listing for the mud bath shows 8 AM to 4:30 PM every day.
The sources do not say which is exact, so treat 16:30 as the last safe return.
Boat timetable
A Vinpearl guide gives this timetable for the mud bath:
- Mainland to island: 08:00, 09:00, 10:00, 12:00 and 14:00.
- Island to mainland: 10:30, 12:30, 14:30 and 16:30.
Be at the pier 15 minutes before departure with your ticket or confirmation. Late arrivals go on the next boat, and the timetable can change. The guide gives 0911 027 288 for updates.
Another Vinpearl page says about 20 round trips a day, one every 20 minutes, with boats stopping after 20:00. That describes the resort boat service, so do not use it for the mud bath timetable.
Staff check the boat ticket once, going out, and not on the way back. Arrive on time for the return.
Combos with VinWonders
Vinpearl lists a combo of VinWonders Nha Trang entry plus the mud bath and lunch buffet at VND 1,350,000. A cheaper combo with VinWonders entry after 16:00 is listed at VND 1,120,000. See VinWonders Nha Trang tickets and hours.
What to see on Hon Tam island
The national tourism authority describes a resort island with white sand beaches, palm trees, tropical forest, calm surf and plenty of watersports.
The island and its name
The island lies about 7 km south-east of Nha Trang ward, says a Vinpearl guide. Fishermen named it Hon Tam after its resemblance to a green silkworm with its head to the east.
The beach

Vinpearl’s standard combo includes the beach, sea bathing, chairs and parasols. The authority names watersports without listing them. Vinpearl says the beach is clear with calm waves year-round.

The mud bath complex
The mud bath lies on the west side of the island, in area A of the Hon Tam Resort. The operator calls it the largest mineral mud-bath complex on an island in Vietnam.
The VinWonders page lists a pure mineral mud treatment, a hot-spring hydrotherapy massage and a 1,350 m2 infinity pool. Vinpearl gives the infinity pool as up to 2,000 m2. The two sources differ on the size.

Vinpearl lists these other features:
- A mineral jacuzzi pool of 650 m2.
- A mineral waterfall bath of 1,380 m2, 11 m high.
- A hydrotherapy area of 25 m2.
An outdoor spa offers foot, neck and shoulder massage.

How the mud bath works
A Vinpearl guide counts one communal tub for 400 guests per session, 20 group tubs, 36 family tubs and 27 couple tubs.
A Vinpearl guide says the mud tub is about 38 degrees C, so step in slowly. It says to relax in the mud for 20 to 30 minutes. It advises thin, light clothes or swimwear, and hair tied back.
It says to avoid hard exercise or a heavy meal beforehand, and not to bathe with a deep open wound. It says not to bring a phone or handheld electronics, and to put jewellery in a locker.
The guide says the service is for groups of two or more. The VinWonders page does not say this, so confirm when you book.
Water games
Vinpearl names an outdoor games area called Sparkling Waves, with kayaking, parasailing and banana boats. No source says these are part of a package, so ask the price.
Hoang Hoa Village
The national tourism authority says Hoang Hoa Village holds the historic homes of early natives, with period furniture and relics. It says festivals there celebrate the ancient culture.

Staying overnight
Vinpearl describes Hon Tam Resort as a high-end resort on the island, one of the four most beautiful in the bay. It lists 114 rooms. A second Vinpearl page says 59 bungalows and 15 villas, each villa with a private pool. The room counts differ, so ask when you book.
Guests who book a room get a two-way boat transfer. The villas are 11 four-bedroom sea-view family suites and 4 three-bedroom hill suites.
The resort’s activities include an underwater sea-walking game to see coral.
Lunch
Vinpearl’s Hon Viet restaurant has a 300 m2 outdoor area and a 480 m2 indoor area seating 350. It is built from bamboo and similar materials. Lunch slots run 11:00 to 12:30 and 12:45 to 14:00.

How to get to Hon Tam island
The national tourism authority says the island is only 7 km from Nha Trang and boats leave the Hon Tam harbour throughout the day. Vinpearl says the port is near Cau Da port and the Oceanography Institute.
The guide says the way is along Tran Phu Street heading south, past the Oceanography Institute, Nha Trang port and Cau Da port, then Hon Tam port. The speedboats are 45-seat fast boats run by Hon Tam Resort.
Nha Trang Tourist Pier at Cau Da is at 388 Vo Thi Sau, Nam Nha Trang. The Maps listing shows it open daily from 7 AM to 6 PM. Hon Tam port is a separate pier from the Cau Da tourist pier, so check your ticket. A Vinpearl summary says the boat runs from Nha Trang tourist pier or Vinpearl’s own pier in 10 to 15 minutes.

The VinWonders page says hours are 08:00 to 16:30. The first mainland boat is at 08:00 and the last return is at 16:30.
Plan around the timetable. A morning boat at 08:00 or 09:00 leaves the most time. The mud soak takes 20 to 30 minutes. The lunch slots are 11:00 to 12:30 and 12:45 to 14:00.
No source gives a total visit time. Vinpearl says a late extra boat costs VND 1,400,000 per boat per leg, booked 30 minutes ahead.
