More than 12,000 runners were due to take part in the Tien Phong Marathon in Nha Trang from 27 to 29 March 2026. For a few days a year the whole running scene is on one road.
Nha Trang has no single expat hub with a published schedule. This page lists what is checkable on the organisers’ own pages or in dated reports, and marks the gaps.

Online groups and meetups
The Nomads.com Nha Trang page describes meetups for digital nomads over coffee, coworking, dinners and drinks, and says you can join one or host your own. Hosting needs a connected Telegram account. No scheduled meetup was listed when this page was written.

A language-learning guide names one Facebook group, Nha Trang Expats, and says it often carries posts from tutors. Nothing about its size, rules or activity was checked, so treat it as a place to ask, not a promise of events.
Newcomers from Russia have the Russian-speaking guide. A Russian book library opened at Galina in Nha Trang, launched by Hai Dang Company with the provincial culture and tourism department. It shows Russian literature translated into Vietnamese. The report says it is open to visitors and local residents alike.
A church community
Nha Trang Cathedral, the Mountain Church, is the diocese’s main church. A parish page dated 28/08/2021 gives Sunday Mass at 5:00, 7:00, 9:30, 16:30 and 18:30. The times, address and what is not confirmed are in Nha Trang Cathedral Mass Times. Whether services are offered in English was not confirmed, so ask at the gate.
Coworking and community
Stockholm lists community events among its co-working inclusions, with the space open 07:00 to 23:00. It describes its community as a space where strangers become collaborators and regulars feel like family.

Smart Space posts events on its own Telegram channel. On 6 August 2026 it advertised a ticketed film night, free for coworking residents and their partners. The north space keeps a book-crossing library.
Smart Space’s channel description lists free coffee, tea and cookies and rooms for hourly or long-term rental. Weekend access is arranged by writing in its chat before Friday 21:00. In summer 2026, holders of north passes could work free at the An Vien branch after booking.
Co-working is on floors 2 to 4 of 43 Ly Tu Trong Street, open every day. Stockholm describes those floors as having ergonomic furniture, natural light and fast internet. The bistro on the ground floor is the easy place to start a conversation.

Ton Duc Thang University runs a Vietnamese language program for foreigners at its Nha Trang campus. It is open to all foreigners currently living, working or studying in Vietnam, with courses of 4 to 8 weeks.

The listed course K2619 starts on 19 October 2026, with a registration deadline of 16 October. Classes run on campus 5 times a week for 80 class hours. Elementary VSL1 in the morning costs VND 7,000,000. A class that does not open is refunded in full, and teaching is in Vietnamese and English only.
Extracurricular activities include cooking classes, sightseeing tours and cultural exchange with Vietnamese students. That makes it the one sourced route to Vietnamese-speaking peers.

Nha Trang University’s Centre for Foreign Languages is in room 308, on the third floor of the Multipurpose Building at 02 Ton That Tung. It teaches short courses in English, French, Korean, Russian, Japanese and Chinese.

In June 2025 young people in Nha Trang volunteered as free tour guides for foreign tourists under the “Tourism Ambassador” programme. The Khanh Hoa provincial Youth Union and the “Khanh Hoa people speak English” Project organised it.
The participants were placed at information stations around the city. The same project also launched a “4.0 Tourism Ambassador” contest, where entrants make short English videos about Nha Trang. Races, running and the Hash
The Tien Phong Marathon of March 2026 offered races in four categories: 5 km, 10 km, 21 km and 42 km. The routes run along the beach and pass the Oceanographic Museum, Tran Phu Bridge, the Quan Truong riverside area and the fishing port and marina.

The VnExpress Marathon Nha Trang took place on 11 August 2024 with more than 9,000 domestic and foreign runners. A provincial official said more than 400 foreign athletes had registered, most from Japan and South Korea. It was the third time the race had been held in Nha Trang.
The March 2026 race was the 67th edition of the Tien Phong Marathon, described as the country’s oldest running tournament, and it returned to Nha Trang after 17 years. A flag-raising ceremony took place at the Gac Ma Martyrs Memorial on 28 March, which the organiser calls a traditional activity of its marathons. The organisers also planned side activities for runners, supporters, families and tourists over the three days.
Neither is a club. Watch the organisers’ sites for the next date, which was not found.
The Hash House Harriers
A December 2013 report says the Hash House Harriers came to Nha Trang in 2013. It describes them as an international group of non-competitive running social clubs. The criteria for joining the tours are that you love travelling, nature and jogging.
The same report says the participants are not only foreigners but also Vietnamese people of all ages, and that the Nha Trang group also directs its efforts to charitable activities. It gave a cost of VND 50,000 for Vietnamese and VND 100,000 for foreigners for each Sunday. That price is from 2013, so expect it to have changed.

Sports clubs with open sessions
Pickleball: Social Sport Club Nha Trang
The club’s Reclub page lists a pickleball group with 386 members and 44 activities, read on 13/10/2026. It says the club is open to expats, locals and travellers of all levels. The members play for fun and to meet new people. The page gives a Zalo group link for joining.
Sport Unite: boxing, MMA and kickboxing
Sport Unite’s own site, written in Russian, lists three clubs in Nha Trang: North, Centre and An Vien. Adult boxing is VND 300,000 for one session, or VND 1,500,000 for two sessions a week. MMA is VND 350,000 for one session.
Children’s kickboxing is VND 200,000 for one session. Reviewers call the staff and coaches welcoming.
Yoga and Pilates
Reviewers of Be Strong say the gym also runs yoga and Pilates. A July 2026 visitor paid VND 150,000 for a yoga class and VND 400,000 for a reformer Pilates class. A reviewer says the instructor explains things clearly in English. Spartan’s own page lists a 1,500 m2 gym and yoga space.
Annual events
The Po Nagar festival is held every year from the 20th to the 23rd day of the 3rd lunar month. Tuoi Tre reported the 2025 Nha Trang sea festival for 10 April to 27 June, with 39 activities and a peak from 7 to 9 June. Khanh Hoa then replaced it with the 2025 Nha Trang Sea Culture-Tourism Festival.

Dive centres and gyms
Sailing Club Divers was established in 1999 and describes itself as one of the longest standing PADI 5 Star IDC and Project Aware dive centres. Its trips take a maximum of 3 divers with 1 PADI instructor or divemaster.

Rainbow Divers says courses and dive groups are at most 4 to 1. Small groups on a boat are a natural way to meet other divers.

For gyms, California Fitness lists more than 50 licensed Les Mills group classes. KingKong lists gym, boxing, Group X and personal training. Sport Unite’s own site lists 3 gyms in Nha Trang. Prices and hours are in gyms in Nha Trang, and dive prices in diving and snorkelling.
Volunteering
The 2024 VnExpress Marathon arranged 29 support stations with more than 1,000 volunteers. The report does not say how volunteers were recruited.

In February 2022 a group of teachers and students at Nha Trang University organised free English classes for disadvantaged children. The classes were held for children at the Thien Tam Orphanage. That report is old, so ask before assuming the classes still run.
Not confirmed: Whether a Hash House Harriers group runs in Nha Trang today: the only report is from 2013, so ask in an expat group before you turn up.
