Two terminals: T1 domestic, T2 international

Cam Ranh has two passenger terminals. T1 serves domestic flights and T2 serves international flights. Taxis wait at the arrivals hall of both.

If you land on an international flight and fly on domestically, you pass immigration, collect your bags and clear customs first. Then you leave through the public arrivals area and follow the signs to the domestic terminal. Ask your airline for the minimum connection time.

Cash, SIM and trolleys before you leave the terminal

The terminal offers free luggage trolleys on the second floor beside entrances A and B, and at the baggage carousels in the arrivals hall. Use one at the carousel to reach the kerb.

The airport lists an ATM in the international terminal T2, open 24/7. A currency exchange is listed in the same terminal, by flight schedule. A SIM card service is listed at several locations, also by flight schedule.

As of 21/02/2025, Xanh SM states that Dat Moi Joint Stock Company is the only operator of route 18 between the airport and central Nha Trang. It lists one trip every 30 minutes, 32 trips a day. VinWonders, on 11/08/2025, lists a trip every 20 - 30 minutes.

  • First departure at 04:30 and last at 20:55.
  • Journey of about 60 minutes each way.
  • Stops: Cam Ranh Airport, Cong ty 71, Cam Lam roundabout, Phuoc Loc junction.
  • Then 1 Tran Quang Khai (in front of Lang Viet restaurant), Nguyen Thien Thuat and 10 Tran Hung Dao (provincial library).
  • Last stop: Nha Trang bus station (19/8 Stadium).

The airport’s page lists the same stops in the opposite order, starting from the Nha Trang station, for boarding in the city.

Route 18 fares

For route 18, Xanh SM lists fares by distance: 10,000 VND for 0-10 km, 20,000 VND for 10-20 km and 30,000 VND for 20-30 km. VinWonders lists the same bands and puts the whole route at 50,000 VND, with a monthly pass at 1,200,000 VND.

Sources differ on the whole-route fare. Xanh SM listed 65,000 VND on 21/02/2025 and 50,000 - 60,000 VND per trip on 25/02/2025. The airport’s page and VinBus’s route map both show 50,000 VND. Check the fare on board before you pay.

Which end do the first and last trips start from?

Xanh SM does not say whether the 04:30 and 20:55 trips leave from the airport or from the city. For a late landing, treat 20:55 as a city-side time and plan a backup. A taxi or VinBus 16-2 covers the gap.

VinBus route 16-2: the late-night bus

VinBus’s launch notice of 24/12/2024 lists route 16-2, Cam Ranh Airport to Vinpearl Nha Trang, with a bus every 45 minutes at 50,000 VND. Airport departures run 07:00 to 21:15. Vinpearl departures run 08:30 to 23:00.

Pick-up is at poles 8-9 on the airport’s waiting lane. Luggage is limited to 10 kg and 30x40x60 cm.

VinBus’s route map lists the same route at 05:50 to 23:00. The fare matches and the hours do not, so plan on the narrower notice times. VinWonders, on 11/08/2025, describes the route as Cam Ranh Airport, Nguyen Tat Thanh, Nguyen Duc Canh, Hoang Dieu, Tran Phu, then Vinpearl Nha Trang.

The bus is useful if your hotel sits along Tran Phu or near the Vinpearl end. The airport page also lists a Vinbus at 50,000 VND and 50 to 60 minutes.

VinWonders says VinBus is free for guests with a VinWonders, Vinpearl Harbour, Aquafield Nha Trang or Hon Tam mud bath ticket, or a Vinpearl Nha Trang hotel booking. The VinBus hotline is 1900 866 663.

Taxi: the airport’s own fare board

The airport’s transport page lists taxi brands with a price for a trip from the airport to Nha Trang city.

Brand and car Price to Nha Trang city
Quoc Te, 4 seats 300,000 VND
Quoc Te, 7 seats 360,000 VND
GSM (Xanh SM), 4 seats 350,000 VND one way
GSM Premium, 4 seats 400,000 VND one way

The page adds that fares may change with the time of use, and asks passengers to confirm the price with the driver first.

Xanh SM’s own article of 25/02/2025 gives a wider range of 250,000 - 550,000 VND, depending on car type, taxi company and booking time. Its hotline is 1900 2088. Xanh SM says its airport taxi uses VinFast electric cars, with no surge pricing at peak hours or in bad weather.

Bai Dai and Vinpearl

Bai Dai is 12 km from the airport, about 15 to 20 minutes. Vinpearl Nha Trang is 40 to 45 km away, by taxi or VinBus route 16-2. The airport fare board lists only Nha Trang city, so no fixed taxi price for Bai Dai or Vinpearl is published. Ask the driver for a price first, or check the price in the app.

Local taxi firms and rush hour

Xanh SM’s page lists hotlines for local taxi firms: Binh Minh 0258 3 899 899, Tram Huong (0258) 3 561 561 and Vinh Tuan (0258) 3 529 529. It says a solo traveller can save money by sharing a taxi.

It also says rush hours of 7 - 9 am and 5 - 7 pm raise demand and can lift taxi prices 10 - 30% above normal. A fixed-price booking avoids that gap.

Ride-hailing: Grab at the airport

Pedestrian crossing in front of the arrivals entrance at Cam Ranh International Airport with a white car, passengers with luggage and a covered forecourt
The kerb outside arrivals at Cam Ranh International Airport, where cars and taxis pull up.

Grab says Cam Ranh has two main terminals: Terminal 1 for domestic flights and Terminal 2 for international flights. For international arrivals it lists the pick-up point “International Arrival Terminal - Cam Ranh International Airport”. Follow the pin in the app.

Grab says fares are upfront and fixed, so the rider knows the price before booking, except GrabTaxi. It lists GrabCar 7 for up to 7 passengers. GrabBike suits only a solo traveller with a light backpack or hand luggage.

Grab’s page gives an average of VND 250,000-350,000, about 45 minutes and about 35 km on the Nha Trang to airport direction. It also says a ride can be scheduled in advance for airport transfers. A pre-booked car suits an early flight.

Airport shuttle and private car

As of 25/02/2025, Xanh SM tabulates one-way airport fares: 250,000 - 350,000 VND for a 4-seat taxi, 350,000 - 450,000 VND for a 7-seat taxi and 200,000 - 400,000 VND for a shuttle. The page says the table is for reference only.

The shuttle is listed at about 250,000 VND for a 4-seat car and 500,000 VND for a 16-seat vehicle. Xanh SM says it suits groups of 4 or more. Dat Moi, Binh Phuong and Thu Hien are named as shuttle operators.

A pre-booked shuttle needs at least 1 - 2 days’ notice to be sure of a vehicle. The airport’s page lists private car hire at 350,000 - 500,000 VND for 45 to 60 minutes, booked through a website, hotel or travel agent.

Which to pick

The covered forecourt outside the terminal at Cam Ranh International Airport.
  • Travelling alone on a budget: route 18, if your flight lands between the first and last departures of 04:30 and 20:55.
  • Landing late: VinBus 16-2, whose last airport departure is 21:15, or a taxi or shuttle after that.
  • A group of 4 or more: the shuttle, listed at about 250,000 VND for a 4-seat car.
  • Heavy bags or small children: a taxi from the airport board, where the price is posted per brand.
  • Wanting a fixed price from your phone: Grab, with upfront fares.

Landing early or very late

Route 18’s first departure is 04:30 and VinBus 16-2 starts at 07:00 from the airport. A flight landing before then needs a taxi or a booked car. Route 18’s last departure is 20:55 and VinBus 16-2’s last airport departure is 21:15, so a landing after 21:15 also needs a taxi or booked car.

With a family or lots of luggage

Take a trolley from the carousel area and a 7-seat taxi, listed at 360,000 VND at Quoc Te. GrabCar 7 carries up to 7 passengers. A bus suits light bags.

Check-in counters open 3 hours before departure and close 50 minutes before departure. Plan the ride so you arrive well before the counters close.

Route 18 boards in the city at Nha Trang station (19/8 Stadium) and calls at 10 Tran Hung Dao and Nguyen Thien Thuat before the airport. Allow 50 to 60 minutes on the bus. A taxi from the city is listed at 40 to 50 minutes.

Grab says about 45 minutes and VND 250,000-350,000 from Nha Trang. Rush hours of 7 - 9 am and 5 - 7 pm can lift taxi prices. Book ahead for an early flight.

Meeting someone or driving yourself

The airport car park is open 24/7 in front of the terminal, and the fee is collected at the toll booth when you leave. For a car up to 9 seats, the first 30 minutes cost 9,000 VND and each further 30 minutes 4,000 VND. The fees apply from 1 June 2025 until further notice.

A car of 10 to 16 seats pays 14,000 VND for the first 30 minutes and 9,000 VND for each further 30 minutes.
