Both differ from the posted Grande price, so confirm at the counter. One reviewer in July 2026 rode an electric scooter for 5 days and charged it free.

Like Bike — passport details, deposit and lessons

The rental contract needs the details of a foreign passport. An insurance deposit is required and is returned when you hand the bike back. Payment is cash in VND, USD or EUR, bank transfer or cryptocurrency.

The process runs in four steps. Sign the agreement with a passport photo and pay the deposit and fee.

Take a brief instruction and photos of the bike. On return, compare the bike with those photos to get the deposit back. A pre-booking to check a model is free.

The rental includes helmets, a phone holder, a luggage rack with soft backrest, an anti-theft lock, raincoats and a Google Maps list of local spots. Every rented bike has a poncho that stores under the seat. 80% of the bikes carry GIVI top boxes. All bikes carry GPS and get regular maintenance.

Reviewers return to the same points.

The team explains local traffic and the rental in detail. Bikes are delivered to the hotel and collected there. A breakdown or flat tyre gets a quick answer. Telegram and WhatsApp replies are prompt.

Dalat trips come up often, and the shop itself suggests a stronger model than a 50cc for Dalat or mountain roads. Prices are called lower than other Russian-language shops, and the staff speak Russian. Riding lessons are mentioned repeatedly, and the site advertises lessons for first-time riders.

San Ho Viet states that it was founded in 2011. It publishes its deposit, payment and return rules in writing, which no other shop here does.

The rider must be 18 or older and hold a driving licence. The shop checks the ID card and driving licence, then keeps one of the two as the deposit. With no identity papers, the deposit is cash of 3,000,000 to 10,000,000 VND depending on the bike, or the shop refuses the rental. The full rental is paid in advance after the bike is received.

The price on its rental page reads 150.000đ with no unit. The price table applies on weekdays and within Nha Trang, not on public holidays or Tet. The service includes 2 helmets per bike, 0.5 litre of petrol and a child seat for families. Helmets are replaced every year and cleaned regularly.

The renter inspects the bike before paying and signs a written handover contract.

A day the bike sits unused is still charged in full. The renter pays all traffic fines, and the rental time is not refunded. Damaged parts need genuine replacements, and welded repairs are not accepted. Return notice is asked 3 hours ahead.

Google review topics list a smooth bike, an enthusiastic owner, fuel efficiency, enthusiastic staff and clean helmets. Reviewers call the staff friendly and pick-up and return quick.

  • Families, with a child seat included.

Four charging options are listed. Return and swap for a fully charged bike, or charge at a VinFast station at the shop’s cost. Plug into a hotel socket if the hotel allows it, or drop the bike off to be charged. A full charge takes about 4 hours, and the VinFast stations sit within Vincom Plaza malls.

Range is about 100 km or more per charge, and every bike has a daily limit of 100 km, with an extra charge above it. Most customers use about 20-30% of the battery per day, and the shop recommends a gasoline bike for long trips out of the city.

The shop tells renters to park inside a hotel basement or lock the bike, because it says motorbikes have been lost around the city. Its site lists sights for rental riders, among them Long Son Pagoda, Thap Ba Ponagar, Ba Ho Waterfalls and Thap Ba Mud Bath.

Google review topics lead with motorcycle condition, then electric scooter, raincoat and English-speaking staff. Reviewers between April and September 2026 describe a helpful, friendly team.

Rental checks tightened in 2026

On 8 May 2026 the Nha Trang Ward People’s Committee told agencies and businesses to strengthen oversight of motorbike rental. Rental businesses face strict penalties for giving a bike to a tourist without a valid licence or legal driving eligibility. Operators are told to verify each customer’s driving eligibility.

Tuoi Tre News reported on 1 August that Khanh Hoa traffic police identified nine businesses renting to foreigners, mainly in Nha Trang Ward. It also reported that hundreds of foreigners were fined for not meeting the requirements to rent and ride. Rental signs have dropped significantly compared with about three months earlier.

A shop owner on Hung Vuong Street said shops now check each customer’s licence. Some shops stopped because very few foreign customers qualify. Expect a licence check at the counter. See buy or rent a motorbike for the comparison.

Insurance on a rental bike

Printed Official Gazette page with lettered clauses listing cases where the insurer pays no compensation
The gazette page that lists the cases excluded from compulsory motorbike insurance, from the official decree text. Source: Official Gazette copy of the Government decree on compulsory motor vehicle insurance, page 8 (opens in a new tab), captured 13 October 2026

The compulsory civil-liability insurance rule covers an owner, and also someone the owner has lawfully handed the vehicle to. The cover is for the owner’s liability to third parties and passengers. It pays up to VND 150 million per person per accident for harm to health or life. For property damage by a two-wheel motorcycle the limit is VND 50 million per accident.

The insurer owes no compensation when the driver has no licence, or uses an invalid or unsuitable one. It also owes nothing for property damage when the driver’s alcohol level exceeds the normal level.

Ask the shop to show the insurance certificate for the exact bike, because one certificate is issued per vehicle. The decree does not say who pays for damage to the rented bike itself, so read the rental contract.

Before you rent

  1. Carry your international driving permit and a valid national licence for the matching vehicle class.
  2. Ask the engine size: a bike up to 125 cm3 and one over 125 cm3 are fined in different bands.
  3. Check the helmet and strap: the fine is 400,000 to 600,000 VND.
  4. A foreigner living here with a valid national licence and a visa or temporary residence card valid for 90 days or more may have it converted. See the temporary residence card guide.
  5. Ask what the shop keeps: Like Bike requires an insurance deposit, and San Ho Viet keeps an ID card or licence.
