Vaccination in Nha Trang: Prices, Hours, Rabies Shots
VNVC's September 2026 price list gives rabies vaccine at VND 338,000 to VND 538,000 per dose. Long Chau's list gives VND 244,000 to VND 510,000. WHO says to wash a bite or scratch with soap and water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention. VNVC offers free reservations within 35 days.
Bitten or scratched by an animal in Nha Trang? Wash the wound with water and soap for at least 15 minutes, then seek medical attention. That is WHO’s first step, and the clock matters: rabies is fatal in 100% of cases once symptoms appear.
Four places in Nha Trang state vaccination services: VNVC, Long Chau Vaccination, the Pasteur Institute and the Khanh Hoa Centre for Disease Control (CDC). Their price lists, hours and addresses are below. For hospital emergency care, see hospitals in Nha Trang for foreigners.

If an animal bites you: the first hour
WHO describes post-exposure treatment in three parts. First, wash the wound with water and soap for at least 15 minutes soon after the exposure. Then a course of rabies vaccine, and rabies immunoglobulin or monoclonal antibodies into the wound if indicated.
WHO sorts contact with a suspect animal into categories. For touching or feeding animals, or licks on intact skin, WHO says wash the skin and give no post-exposure vaccine.
Minor scratches and nibbling
Nibbling of uncovered skin and minor scratches or abrasions without bleeding are category II. WHO says wound washing and immediate vaccination.
Bites, saliva on broken skin and bats
Single or multiple transdermal bites or scratches, saliva on a mucous membrane or broken skin, and direct contact with bats are category III. WHO says wound washing, immediate vaccination and rabies immunoglobulin or monoclonal antibodies.
Immunoglobulin is a hospital-level treatment: none of the vaccination centres below lists it on a price list. Phone before you travel across town, or head to an emergency department. The numbers are in Nha Trang emergency numbers.
Intramuscular or intradermal
WHO recommends moving from intramuscular to intradermal administration of rabies vaccine, which it says reduces costs by 60-80% without compromising safety or efficacy. VNVC lists both routes: Verorab intradermal is VND 438,000 against VND 538,000 intramuscular per dose.
WHO also recommends that all human rabies vaccines meet WHO standards. As of 2024 it lists three pre-qualified vaccines: RABIVAX-S, VaxiRab N and VERORAB. Ask the centre which brand it is giving.
Before a trip
WHO says pre-exposure vaccination might be indicated before recreation or travel in some areas. It adds that this does not replace care after an exposure: anyone exposed to a suspected rabid animal should still seek post-exposure care.
Prices below are per dose in VND. VNVC’s figures are the retail prices on its price list headed September 2026, which applies across its whole system. Long Chau’s figures come from its nationwide list dated 14 August 2026, which names no Nha Trang centre.
Khanh Hoa CDC is missing from the tables: its 2021 clinic page lists vaccines but no prices. Vaccines marked with an asterisk on VNVC’s list need an availability check by phone.
Parents will find the same brands on both lists, so the price gap is easy to read. Hexaxim is VND 995,000 at both. Infanrix Hexa is VND 1,098,000 at VNVC against VND 995,000 at Long Chau.
